If ensuring a three-year-old and a six-year-old are bathed, dressed, fed, has lunch packed (the six-year-old), and are off in the morning isn't project management then I don't know what is.

Double points for anyone who can rewrite that sentence so it punches and is grammatically correct.

I don’t know. I think the only way that bathing, dressing, feeding, and delivering two children, ages three and six --the latter with lunch in hand -- actually differs from official ‘project management’ is that it lacks a color-coded computerized calendar and the guarantee that I would actually be able to drink my double-shot skinny tall peppermint latte.

And I want to save up all my points until I have enough for a pony.

(Having done the morning shift for years, all I can say is -- it does get easier. Eventually.)
