and michael crichton

has died.

I sure wasn't expecting that.

There were a couple chapters in his Travels book that absolutely rocked that I re-read.

Oh, no! How sad!

I was SO sad to hear this. I've enjoyed so many of his books for various reasons. And I was hoping to get the chance to enjoy many more. :(

(Btw, am I insane or dreaming, or did I comment on a post here that is now gone? Please don't let me be crazy. It's a bad enough week already.)

Sad. I remember reading his first book (or maybe it was one of his first books), The Andromeda Strain, when it came out way back.

That was my first one, too, Carol =)

I remember my father giving me that book, and checking in with me a couple of times to make sure I was enjoying it.

One of the few books that we've both read, actually.

:) That's one of the beautiful things about books -- we can bond over them.

It was awesome to tell Vonda my mom and I bonded over Dreamsnake.

Yep, first of his books I read as well. I think I was a freshman in high school.

I was a junior, I think. It was fall, and I was home sick from school.

Another light extinguished. He will missed.
