Happy New Year! HA!
Alright, so I've been lax in my journal writing here. Eh, it happens.
I've been thinking a lot about my writing goals for the upcoming year and how this year's life changes will affect my writing goals.
I'm due to have a baby (via c-section) at the end of April. Major abdominal surgery and a new baby can really impact a person's writing habits. Major abdominal surgery may open up one's time for more writing while a new baby will also take up said extra time.
So this is what I've come up with.
I wrote a novel, a novella, a novelette and essentially four short stories this year. I sold one short story, which was A Very Cool Thing indeed.
This year I'm going to write at least nine short stories this year. I haven't decided it I'll participate in NaNoWriMo this year or not. We'll see how November is looking as we get closer. I've never had two children before, never had a 3 1/2 year old and a 6 month old before.
