I've taken a break from some other projects (most notably the paper doll novel) to do some revising on the Albion novel.

Actually, what I probably should do is write the paper doll novel and then rewrite/revise the Albion novel (since it needs to be done and the paper doll novel will need to rest before being revised) and then rewrite/revise the paper doll novel.

I may save what I've done to the Albion novel and then dig into the paper doll novel a bit. It's really probably best since I'd like to have both in pretty final condition by the end of the year.

So many characters and stories are trying to burst out of my head at once, and it makes things just a little bit difficult.

Still waiting on submissions. I've had some rejections, so I shipped the rejected pieces right out again. I queried a foreign market about looking at "Bison's Child", but they're full right now, so I queried (since it's a longer piece) a US market I respect a lot and they asked to look at it, so I emailed it off this morning.

And, since I'm forgetful, I forgot to mention I mailed off my first novel submission on June 30th. I turned my novella Prickings into a middle-grade novel. I sent it into a contest. I really don't suspect anything to come of it, but it felt good to print it off, hold it in my hands, feel its weight (even though it was only about 97 pages) and look at it. It finally felt real, concrete. And then I went to the post office and sent it off.

I'm considering printing off my stuff and putting the stories, novels, etc. into binders so they can be read. They were written and for them to sit on my hard drive is just pitiful. So they're being submitted? Only a few people are reading them. If I put them in binders on a shelf then other people might have the chance of reading what I write. And that would be okay.
